The British Paralympic Association has extended its partnership with the UK division of German financial services company Allianz.
The BPA’s new four-year deal with Allianz UK will run until the end of 2020, covering that year’s summer Games in Tokyo, Japan and the 2018 winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Allianz UK will provide support to the BPA in the run-up to both events. The partnership ties in with Allianz’s commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity and excellence in the workplace and in competitive sport.
Allianz UK first partnered with the BPA in January ahead of a record-breaking Rio 2016 Games for the British team.
Jon Dye, chief executive of Allianz Insurance, said: “With ParalympicsGB’s tremendous performance at Rio 2016, the success of our brand building programme and Allianz’s continued support at international level, it was an easy decision to continue our support. The 2016 partnership was incredibly popular with colleagues and we are very proud to continue the association.”
The Allianz SE Group has been a partner of the International Paralympic Committee since 2006.
