The Virgin Australia airline has expanded its partnership with AFL Aussie rules football club Carlton.
The new deal will run for five years through to the end of 2022, with the option to renew.
Under the agreement, Virgin Australia will become Carlton’s official airline partner, after being a platinum partner of the club for the past three seasons. In June, Virgin Australia became an interim co-major partner.
In addition, Virgin Australia will retain shirt sponsorship rights, as well as branding assets across Carlton’s AFL programme.
The airline will continue as the naming-rights partner to premium match-day hospitality events, including the President’s Club by Virgin Australia and the Virgin Australia Carlton Lounge.
Virgin Australia also becomes the co-naming rights partner to the Carlton In Business programme.
