Korean automotive company Hyundai has extended its major sponsorship deal with AFL Aussie rules football club Carlton.
The new five-year deal will run until 2022, taking the two parties’ long-running relationship to 21 years.
Hyundai will retain its position as a co-major sponsor of Carlton, with its branding continuing to feature on the front of the club’s home guernseys. The company will also retain major branding assets across Carlton’s AFL and AFL Women’s programmes.
Carlton’s other major partner is the Virgin Australia airline, whose branding features on the front of the team’s away shirt and the back of the home shirt.
To mark its new partnership with the club, Hyundai will give away a brand-new vehicle to a fan during Carlton’s game against Hawthorn on August 19.
Hyundai and Carlton will also launch the ‘Welcome to the Neighbourhood’ campaign, through which 100 tickets for the Hawthorn match will be distributed to new residents in Melbourne.
