Belfor Property Restoration, a disaster recovery company, has been named as an official partner of NHL ice hockey franchise the Los Angeles Kings as well as Staples Center and T-Mobile Arena through an agreement with sports and entertainment company AEG.
The multi-year agreement names Belfor as the official restoration partner of the Kings and its Staples Center home. Belfor will hold the same position at T-Mobile Arena, home of newly-formed NHL team the Vegas Golden Knights. The deal also incorporates the AXS TV network.
As part of the agreement, the AEG-operated facilities will be fitted with amplified disaster response and recovery services. AEG and Belfor will also honour first responders and US servicemen and women through a range of community initiatives.
Staples Center and T-Mobile Arena will be provided with comprehensive and recovery plans in the event of a disaster. Both venues will also become Belfor Red Alert clients, entitling them to priority response for area-wide catastrophes.
“This new alliance is intended to not only strengthen the overall recovery plans of many of our venues and other assets, but also to benefit the customers we serve by implementing even more resilient best practices, safety measures and services at our facilities,” said Jon Werbeck, vice-president of AEG Global Partnerships, which brokered the deal.
The agreement is the first of its kind for AEG, which owns the Kings.
