Spanish Liga football club Valencia has agreed a long-term partnership with sportswear company Adidas.
Effective from July 1, Adidas will become the official kit partner of the club. The company will manufacture and supply all playing and training kit.
Adidas and Valencia will also work together on a range of retail and distribution platforms, including a megastore in downtown Valencia. The two parties will also join forces to expand Adidas’ performance apparel range and collaborate on technology immersion in football.
Valencia, which finished eighth in the 2013-14 Liga, described the deal as the biggest of its kind in the club’s history.
Amadeo Salvo, Valencia’s president, said: “Past and future cross our partnership and as we enter a new era in our club history, Adidas represents a major commercial and marketing opportunity to reinforce our club credibility as one of the most important football clubs in the world.”
