German sportswear manufacturer Adidas has reached a seven-year extension to its partnership with US university Mississippi State (MSU).
Adidas has provided kit and sports equipment to MSU’s athletics teams since penning a five-year deal in 2009 and the new terms run through 2020.
To commemorate the partnership and the 100th anniversary of MSU’s Bulldogs playing at Scott Field, Adidas has designed special vintage kits for the American football team’s season opener against neighbour Southern Mississippi on August 30.
MSU’s baseball team will receive the same treatment for this Saturday’s contest with rival Ole Miss Rebels, with both retro outfits featuring Adidas’ modern sportswear technology.
