Adidas nets two-year Euroleague Basketball extension

German sportswear giant Adidas has agreed an expanded two-year partnership extension with Euroleague Basketball that will run through the European club competition’s 2015 season.

Under the deal, the financial terms of which were undisclosed, Adidas will continue as an official sponsor to the Euroleague Final Four with an in-arena presence and  media rights during Euroleague broadcasts that air in over 190 countries , along with exclusive rights to produce official event clothing.

Adidas will benefit from media and in-arena rights during the Euroleague Game of the Week.

Additionally, Euroleague Basketball and Adidas are set to collaborate on grassroots initiatives, product evaluation and testing, along with exclusive apparel offerings.

"This new alignment with such a sports industry icon as Adidas is another step forward for Euroleague Basketball's mission of growing our sport on a global level," Euroleague Basketball president and chief executive Jordi Bertomeu said.
