The NFAZ, the governing body of football in Zimbabwe, has agreed a sponsorship deal with domestic mobile phone company NetOne.
Although terms of the deal were undisclosed, NFAZ president Philip Chiyangwa told Zimbabwean newspaper the Herald that the agreement is likely to be a long-term venture.
Brian Mutandiro, acting chief executive of NetOne, added that the two parties will work together on initiatives that will be profitable for both the NFAZ and NetOne.
Zimbabwe’s national team will compete in the African Cup of Nations next year for the first time in 10 years after the country finished top of its qualifying group.
