Italian Pro14 rugby union club Zebre Rugby has agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with industrial weighing and batching company Laumas Elettronica.
The company’s branding will appear on the back of Zebre’s playing jerseys during the 2017-18 season.
In July, the Italian Rugby Federation (FIR) assumed control of the team in order for it to continue competing in the Pro14.
Management at the club had informed the FIR of its decision to withdraw the team from the 2017-18 Pro14 season amid reports of players going unpaid for two months.
Laumas Elettronica chief executive Massimo Consonni said: “We are extremely pleased to have linked our name to that of the only professional sports entity in Parma that has the opportunity to compete in the international arena. The teams that participate in the Guinness Pro14 championship belong to nations where our company is investing in order to consolidate its market share.”
