Yanjing Beer has renewed its title sponsorship of the CFA Cup, the Chinese Football Association’s knockout club competition.
The new four-year deal runs from 2018 to 2021. Yanjing confirmed that the deal would be worth in excess of CNY100m (€12.8m/$15.4m) over the four-year period. The brand’s previous four-year agreement with the CFA was worth CNY80m.
Yanjing, which is headquartered in Beijing, has served as the competition’s title sponsor since 2014. The tournament is officially known as the Yanjing Beer CFA Cup.
Shanghai Greenland Shenhua is the defending CFA Cup champion, having defeated cross-city rival Shanghai SIPG in last year’s final.
