US sportswear manufacturer Under Armour has secured a multi-year partnership with Yale University’s Bulldogs intercollegiate sports teams.
Under the agreement, commencing on July 1, Under Armour will exclusively design and supply footwear, apparel and accessories to all Bulldogs teams. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but multiple reports said the contract is worth $16m (€14.8m) over 10 years.
Under Armour will also work with the university to incorporate the Yale brand into collegiate marketing campaigns, social media initiatives, in-store promotions and grassroots activations.
Although Under Armour has similar partnerships in place with 32 other colleges in the US, this deal represents the company’s first all-sports partnership with one of the eight Ivy League colleges in the country.
