Czech trophy manufacturer World Sport Design is seeking to step up its involvement in sports after entering into a partnership with the International Table Tennis Federation.
World Sport Design has agreed a three-year deal to become the ITTF’s official trophy supplier from 2016 to 2018 and the company’s president Jiri Smidl hopes the partnership will be the first of many.
“This is the start of a long-term cooperation with ITTF, other national federations and sport event organisers,” Smidl said. “We anticipate the opportunity to deliver our design trophies to more events, with high-quality awards to represent real and lasting value for the awarded.”
World Sport Design will provide trophies for the ITTF’s Star Awards and World Tour Grand Finals events. The company was also the official trophy supplier for last year’s World Tour Grand Finals.
The 2016 World Tour begins on January 20 with the Hungarian Open in Budapest.
