British Airways has agreed to become an official partner of the International Table Tennis Federation’s 2018 Team World Cup.
Under the deal, British Airways will serve as the official airline partner of this year’s tournament, which takes place in London, England, from February 22-25.
The Team World Cup will feature a total of 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams. The most recent edition of the event took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 2015.
Thomas Weikert, president of the ITTF, said: “Our sport has global reach and high levels of fan engagement, attributes that can help brands such as British Airways to connect to audiences around the world.”
The ITTF said digital engagement through English and Chinese social and digital platforms will be a key feature of the partnership.
