Wolfsburg signs up Interwetten as betting partner

German Bundesliga football club VfL Wolfsburg has entered into a partnership with online gaming company Interwetten.

The deal names Interwetten, a Vienna-based company, as the official sports betting partner of Wolfsburg for the 2019-20 season.

Interwetten will receive brand exposure through LED advertising boards and ‘cam carpets’ at Wolfsburg’s Volkswagen Arena, along with hospitality benefits.

Last month, Wolfsburg signed a partnership with the Austrian region of Styria, becoming the club’s official travel partner. In June, the club also renewed its partnership with German brewery C. & A. Veltins, which will retain exclusive pouring rights at Volkswagen Arena.

Wolfsburg finished the 2018-19 Bundesliga season in sixth place.
