Cincinnati-based Western & Southern Financial Group has renewed its title sponsorship of the city’s ATP and WTA men’s and women’s tennis tournament.
The three-year, multi-million dollar deal will cover the 2015, 2016 and 2017 editions of the Western & Southern Open at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
Western & Southern boasts the longest-running title sponsorship of an ATP Masters 1000 event and its tenure will stand at 16 years by the end of the extended deal.
It will receive a range of benefits, including on-court signage and a presence in television broadcasts, while launching fan activation activities on site.
The Western & Southern Open is part of the US Open Series and is one of five tennis events outside of the annual grand slams to host top-tier men’s and women’s events during the same week at the same venue.
It boasted player prize money purse in excess of $7m (€6.3m) last year, with Roger Federer and Serena Williams winning the singles events.
