English Premier League football club Watford has signed a shirt sponsorship agreement with online broker FxPro.
The deal will run for the three seasons, from 2017-18 to 2019-20. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Watford confirmed the deal represents the largest sponsorship agreement in its history.
FxPro will benefit from exposure on the front of Watford’s shirt and the company will also serve as the club’s main sponsor.
Under the agreement, both parties will be working towards the development of grassroots activities, as well as community, charitable and outreach programmes.
Spencer Field, commercial director at Watford, said: “This agreement undoubtedly reinforces the growing appeal of the Watford FC brand on an international level.
“We are looking forward to developing marketing and activation initiatives in a range of global markets, which we are confident will benefit the club over the next few years.”
