Online gambling operator Unibet has agreed a deal to become the first official betting partner of English County Championship cricket club Warwickshire.
Under the two-year agreement, Unibet branding will appear on the collars of all Warwickshire playing shirts, as well as on perimeter signage inside the team’s Edgbaston home stadium.
Unibet will also work with the club on a series of social media videos that will run throughout the team’s Twenty20 Blast campaign.
In addition, Unibet will have a presence at the English national team’s day-night Test matches at Edgbaston. England will play the West Indies in its inaugural day-night match before facing off against India.
Edgbaston will also host the T20 Blast Finals Day in the next two years, as well as an International T20 against Australia in 2018.
Gareth Roberts, commercial director at Warwickshire, said: “We’re committed to providing the best possible experience, in a responsible way, for our spectators in attendance at Edgbaston. Unibet shares these ambitions and we look forward to working with its team to develop some innovative match-day opportunities.”
