US sportswear manufacturer Warrior has reached an agreement with the Infront Sports & Media agency to become the official kit supplier for the Champions Hockey League.
The Europe-wide club ice hockey league launches in August and Warrior, which began manufacturing hockey equipment in 2005, will enjoy a wide range of rights including product category exclusivity.
All teams participating in the CHL will wear Warrior apparel, with the manufacturer's logo centrally featured on player clothing including jerseys, pant shells, socks, gloves and top scorer helmets. Referees and team staff will also be fully kitted out by Warrior.
Additionally, Warrior is set to benefit from high visibility across the competition’s games through perimeter board advertising and penalty bench branding during the play-offs, alongside video screen clips and additional on-site signage.
The terms of Infront’s agreement with Warrior were undisclosed, but the agency’s executive director for winter sports, Bruno Marty, said: “With Warrior, we were able to conclude a milestone agreement for the Champions Hockey League, providing a premier and innovative equipment supplier. Warrior is strongly rooted in the sport of ice hockey and underlines the competition’s potential to position itself successfully within the European sports landscape.”
