Vauxhall Motors has agreed to extend its sponsorship deal with the Irish Football Association by a further four years until at least the 2018 Fifa World Cup finals in Russia.
The British automotive company, which began its partnership with the IFA in 2011, will remain a lead partner of Northern Ireland national teams throughout the course of the deal.
The extended agreement will also cover the Uefa Euro 2016 qualification campaign, in addition to various other international tournaments featuring the Northern Ireland women’s and youth teams.
To mark the new agreement, Vauxhall will run a competition for one fan to win a season ticket that will allow them access to every Northern Ireland home game for the next five years.
Duncan Aldred, Vauxhall chairman and managing director, said: “We have experienced fantastic levels of brand awareness over the past three years, and look forward to the ongoing relationship with the Irish FA for the extended period as lead partner.
"This partnership is a clear and unequivocal sign of Vauxhall’s long-standing commitment to Northern Irish football and will provide support from grassroots up to the elite level.”
The IFA deal comes after Vauxhall last month agreed a four-year extension to its sponsorship deal with the Scottish Football Association, while it signed a similar deal with the English Football Association in May. Both deals run up to July 2018.
