Home security company Vivint has agreed a 10-year naming rights partnership with the home arena of NBA basketball franchise the Utah Jazz.
Vivint will take over from energy provider EnergySolutions as the 19,000-capacity arena’s naming rights partner. The venue’s rebranding process, which will see it renamed the Vivint Smart Home Arena, will take place throughout the end of 2015. The contract will run from 2015 to 2024, with Vivint holding the option for a further five-year extension.
As part of the agreement, Vivint will receive extensive advertising inside and outside the arena. A ‘Vivint Smart Home Experience’ will also be available to fans on the concourse and the overall matchday experience will be enhanced.
In addition, Vivint will partner with Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment, which owns and operates the arena, on an autism awareness campaign as part of their joint community outreach.
Todd Pedersen, chief executive of Vivint, said: “This agreement extends far beyond a typical ‘logo-on-the-building’ arrangement – it’s a true partnership built around innovation, community impact and the drive to elevate the prominence of Utah.”
EnergySolutions will continue as a champion partner of the Utah Jazz.
