The USA Gymnastics national governing body has announced an extension of its commercial partnership with personal care and household cleaning products manufacturer Procter & Gamble.
The new agreement will run until the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Under the deal, the company will serve as the title sponsor of the organisation’s national championships, the P&G Gymnastics Championships. Through P&G’s Secret brand, the company will also retain title sponsorship rights for the Secret US Classic event.
The company will also benefit from television inventory and on-site presence at USA Gymnastics premier events, including the AT&T American Cup, P&G Gymnastics Championships and other events.
P&G has been a sponsor of USA Gymnastics since 2008. In 2010, the company became a worldwide partner of the International Olympic Committee for five editions of the Games, starting with London 2012.
“Our partnership with the USA Gymnastics has successfully helped amplify our strategic choice to support the Olympics,” P&G’s associate marketing director of sport, Janet Fletcher, said.
