Manchester-based sportswear brand Umbro has signed a five-year technical partnership with Everton to provide kits for the English Premier League football team.
From June 1 this year Umbro will outfit all Everton men’s, women’s and academy teams, from match kits to training wear.
Under the deal, the financial terms of which were undisclosed, Umbro will also sponsor Everton’s grassroots programmes.
Everton currently wears kits by Nike, which in October 2012 offloaded football-focused affiliate brand Umbro to Iconix Brand Group in a $225m (€165.4m) transaction.
Umbro returns to top-flight English football with the new partnership, Manchester City having switched to Nike at the start of the current campaign, and has previously manufactured kits for Everton over three separate periods spanning the 1970s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.
