Italian Serie A football club Udinese has agreed a kit partnership with Italian sportswear manufacturer Macron.
The six-year deal will run from the 2018-19 season until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
Macron will provide kit for Udinese’s first team, as well as the club’s youth side and other affiliated teams. Macron will also be promoted across club media and receive brand exposure at Udinese’s Dacia Arena, while a Macron store will be opened at the stadium.
Franco Collavino, Udinese’s director general, said: “Alongside the typical activities of a technical sponsor, the agreement with Macron highlights numerous new elements, as support is provided for the development of the company's brand through visibility on the online and social media of Udinese and within the Dacia Arena.
“We have worked with great dedication and commitment to reach this agreement, which we believe is strategic for the development of the company and our activities, with an innovative approach to marketing and communication.”
Macron chief executive Gianluca Pavanello added, according to the UdineseBlog website: “We hope that Udinese will qualify for Europe, which for us would be an advantage in terms of healthy visibility. We want to grow more and more, and it is important for us to have clubs that play in Europe.”
Macron replaces HS as Udinese’s kit supplier.
