Turkish Airlines lands in Eredivisie with Feyenoord

Dutch Eredivisie football team Feyenoord has signed a sponsorship agreement with Turkish Airlines covering the remainder of the 2014-15 season.

Turkey’s national carrier launched a daily route from Istanbul to Rotterdam last month and will use the partnership with Feyenoord to build its presence in the Dutch market.

Turkish Airlines will benefit from visibility on LED boards and elsewhere at Feyenoord’s De Kuip stadium. The club’s Turkish international players Colin Kazim-Richards and Bilal Başaçikoğlu are also set to be used in promotional campaigns.

Turkish Airlines has previously struck partnerships with several other top-flight football clubs including Spanish Liga club Barcelona; French Ligue 1 club Marseille; Bundesliga teams Koln and Hannover; and English Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Manchester United.
