English Premier League football club Sunderland has signed an extension to its partnership with Asian online gaming operator TLC188.com.
The three-year renewal will run from 2014-15 to 2016-17.
A partner of Sunderland since 2012, TLC188.com has taken part in a range of online activities, such as offering fans football betting and online gaming opportunities.
“Excitement for Premier League football teams such as Sunderland has grown fast in Asia since we signed our original contract and with frequent promotions, we expect to grow both TLC188 and Sunderland’s international fan bases,” TLC188.com's Asia-Pacific strategy director, Mike Chong, said.
The club itself has strong links to the Asian continent having taken part in pre-season matches and tournaments in South Korea and Hong Kong in recent years.
Sunderland commercial director Gary Hutchinson added: “We are continuing to build on our relationships throughout Asia and the club is becoming very popular with a growing worldwide fan base, which we have seen in recent years.”
