Japanese automotive manufacturer Toyota has entered into a three-year partnership with Major League Baseball franchise the Texas Rangers.
The deal, financial terms of which were not disclosed, names Toyota the official truck sponsor of the club. The company’s two Texas-built trucks, Tacoma and Tundra, will be promoted as part of the deal, which will run until the end of the 2018 MLB season.
Toyota will receive advertising exposure through branding on the outfield wall, video board, home plate and LED signage at the Rangers’ Globe Life Park home stadium.
The deal also names the company the exclusive sponsor of video replays during games, while it will take on naming rights to 12 parking lots adjacent to the ballpark. In addition, Toyota employees will participate in the volunteer efforts of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation’s community initiatives.
