Mexican beer brand Tecate has confirmed a partnership with French Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint-Germain.
The deal, which was first reported by French media outlets last month, is for five years – spanning the 2015-16 to 2019-20 football seasons.
Spanish LaLiga champion Barcelona is also a partner of Tecate in Mexico under a deal sealed last July, while Italian Serie A title-holder Juventus signed with the brand – part of Heineken subsidiary brewery Cervezas Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma in May this year.
Paris Saint-Germain deputy director general Frederic Longuepee said: “This first alliance in Central America demonstrates the appeal of the Paris Saint-Germain brand, which continues to expand internationally.”
PSG commenced the defence of its Ligue 1 title with a 1-0 win at Lille OSC on Friday.
