Australian A-League football club Sydney FC has agreed a deal with Aetos Capital Group for the forex broker and CFD provider to become its principal partner for the 2018 AFC Champions League campaign.
The Aetos logo will appear on the front of the team’s shirts during next year’s edition of the continental competition, which Sydney FC qualified for by winning the 2016-17 A-League title.
Aetos, whose corporate headquarters are based in Sydney, will also receive a range of hospitality and branding rights as part of the agreement.
Aetos had a similar deal in place with rival A-League team the Western Sydney Warriors during the 2017 AFC Champions League campaign.
Senior vice-president councillor Mike Thomas from AETOS said: “AETOS hopes its connection with football games, including the English Premier League, A-League and the 2018 AFC Champions League, will be a special mark in the financial industry.
“The partnership with Sydney FC will definitely help to further enhance the influence of both organisations in the Asia Pacific.”
The AFC Champions League is the Asian Football Confederation’s premier club competition. Sydney FC begins its campaign in February, and will face Shanghai Shenhua, Kashima Antlers and the winner of Eastern Playoff 1 in Group H.
