Banking group Raiffeisen has extended its sponsorship of Swiss-Ski, the national governing body for skiing in Switzerland, by three years until 2017.
Raiffeisen has supported Switzerland’s elite skiers since 2005 and the renewal was sealed at last weekend’s International Ski Federation (FIS) World Cup event in Adelboden.
Under the agreement, Raiffeisen will sell branded gloves and caps for skiing fans and amateur competitors, with half of the 10 Francs (€8.11/$11.02) price being directed towards regional ski associations to support grassroots talent.
Additionally, Raiffeisen customers will benefit from snow sports promotions, enjoying discounted rates at several ski destinations and special ticket prices for World Cup events in Switzerland.
Raiffeisen is one of three second-tier sponsors of Swiss-Ski alongside Helvetia and Alpiq.
