Suzuki has extended its premium partnership deal with Australian rugby league club Melbourne Storm for a further three years, with the new agreement running until the end of the 2016 season.
The automotive company will retain its sleeve sponsorship branding position on players’ jerseys, as well as its exclusive place in the club’s motor vehicle partner category.
Suzuki first formed a relationship with Melbourne Storm in 2008, and the extension of this partnership will ensure a continued affiliation and association with the club.
During the partnership, fortunes have been mixed for Storm on the field, but the club has battled back to enjoy success in recent years. Storm claimed its second National Rugby League (NRL) Premiership title last year after defeating the Canterbury Bulldogs 14-4 in the Grand Final.
This season also started well when Storm beat English side Leeds Rhinos 18-14 to win the World Club Challenge and be crowned world champions for 2013. The club is currently second in the NRL Premiership.
