Radio network 93.5 Red FM has renewed its sponsorship of Indian Premier League Twenty20 cricket team Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The new deal covers the 2018 IPL season and extends Red FM’s association with the team into a sixth year.
Red FM retains its position as the team’s principal sponsor and will continue to benefit from front-of-shirt brand exposure. The station will also organise contests, meet and greets, and ticket giveaways, with radio and digital content to be launched to promote the partnership.
Red FM chief operating officer Nisha Narayanan said, according to the Indiantelevision website: “At Red FM, sports is an important strategic pillar and it is our constant endeavour to associate with leading sporting events and players. We are extremely excited to associate Sunrisers Hyderabad for the sixth time in a row.
“We are in fact the only media brand across the country to be on the jersey of any IPL team and in fact we have the most premium jersey position. i.e. the front chest. Cricket is no doubt a religion in India and the team’s motto ‘Rise Up To Every Challenge’ goes with our brand’s persona.”
The 2018 IPL season gets underway tomorrow (Saturday).
