The Sportfive agency has signed up new sponsors for the German Bundesliga’s 2014-15 relegation/promotion play-off and reported that marketing rights for the games and the 2015-16 Supercup event have sold out.
The first leg of the relegation/promotion play-off takes place tonight (Thursday), with the 1.Bundesliga’s Hamburg taking on 2.Bundesliga club Karlsruher. Hamburg is seeking to retain its place in the top division having never been relegated – the only club in the Bundesliga to enjoy this status.
Sportfive said that Apollo Tyres, Citroën, Lieferando and Orizon had come on board as new sponsors, with Sky, bet-at-home, Targobank, Vodafone and Somfy maintaining their roles.
Sportfive has held the marketing rights to the four play-off games, which also include encounters between 2.Bundesliga and 3.Liga teams, since 2013 under a deal with the German Football League (DFL).
