The Cricket All-Stars Series, which got underway on Saturday at New York’s Citi Field ballpark, has revealed its line-up of sponsors for the three-game exhibition competition.
Title sponsor of the event, American banking and financial services company Citi, has been named a top-tier sponsor along with MasterCard, PepsiCo, State Farm, Azur Global, Sling TV and Oxigen. Lycamobile, Etihad and Uber have also been named additional sponsors.
In addition to its title sponsorship of the series, Citi will host the first ‘Citi Cricket All-Stars’ event at Citi Field, and will also name and present the ‘Citi Cricket All-Stars Cup’ to the winners of the series.
MasterCard will offer its cardholders the chance to win matchday experiences and meet players, while Pepsi will sponsor in-game trivia during the series’ broadcasts.
Insurance firm State Farm has been named the official sponsor of the series’ youth cricket clinics, the first of which took place at Saturday’s game.
The Twenty20 series pits two teams of cricketing legends, captained by former Australian bowler Shane Warne and ex-Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar, against each other. Warne’s Warriors currently have the advantage over Sachin’s Blasters after victory on Saturday.
The series continues at Minute Maid Park in Houston on Wednesday before concluding on Saturday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
