Australian National Rugby League club the Brisbane Broncos has agreed a sponsorship deal with National Storage after the self-storage solutions company’s deal with AFL Aussie rules team the Brisbane Lions expired.
National Storage has been named a premier sponsor of the Broncos. The deal will last four years, beginning with the 2016 season and culminating in the 2019 campaign. The company had been a co-major partner of the Lions until the end of the 2015 AFL season.
As part of the deal with the Broncos, National Storage branding will appear on the back of the club’s home and away jerseys. It is the company’s first rugby league sponsorship deal.
“Rugby league is a natural fit to build our brand recognition right now – especially after the Broncos’ tremendous season,” Andrew Catsoulis, National Storage managing director, said.
National Storage will replace fluid transfer solutions company Pirtek as the Broncos’ back-of-shirt sponsor. Pirtek will remain an associate sponsor of the club, which reached the 2015 NRL Grand Final.
