US-based Southwest Airlines has moved to expand its presence in Major League Baseball by entering into a partnership with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Under the multi-year deal, the low-cost carrier will serve as the team’s official airline.
Southwest will also benefit from branding placement on outfield wall signage inside the team’s Dodger Stadium ballpark.
The airline will extend its brand presence and engage with Dodgers fans at Dodger Stadium further into the 2015 season.
The Dodgers become the fifth MLB franchise to link up with Southwest, with the airline already having deals in place with the Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers and San Diego Padres.
