Beer brand Skol is set to become an official sponsor of the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil, according to the Maquina do Esporte newspaper.
The agreement has not yet been confirmed, but the report said that the deal with the AmBev-owned brand would be worth R90m (€32m/$42m).
AmBev’s parent company, Anheuser-Busch, is already a sponsor of the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil through its Budweiser brand. AmBev subsidiaries also sponsor several football clubs in Brazil and the country’s national team.
Embratel, Nissan, Bradesco, Bradesco Seguros and Claro are already sponsors of the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
