The Shanghai International Marathon is to be sponsored by the financial services organisation Industrial Bank Company (IBC).
IBC has signed a five-year deal with Shanghai East Best, the race organiser, which will run from 2015 until 2020.
IBC will also continue to serve as a partner of the Shanghai half-marathon.
Chen Jinguang, vice-president at IBC, said: “The Industrial Bank kept the idea of sustainable development with the marathon being the symbol of perseverance, which meets our values.”
The 2015 Shanghai Marathon will take place on November 8.
