The Scottish Open has unveiled Turkish Airlines as an official sponsor on the eve of the golf tournament’s 2013 edition.
The one-year agreement means the airline joins 15 other companies as an official sponsor for the event, which gets underway at Castle Stuart Golf Links near Inverness on July 11.
A total of 21 Ryder Cup stars will line up in a field boasting 16 Scottish golfers, all looking to dethrone defending champion Jeev Milkha Singh.
Additionally, the new sponsorship agreement strengthens Turkish Airlines’ links with the European Tour after it was announced as the title sponsor for November’s Turkish Airlines Open in Antayla, Turkey earlier this season. The event is the penultimate tournament on the 2013 Race to Dubai.
