Canada-based multinational bank Scotiabank has extended its partnership with the NHL ice hockey league in a multi-year deal.
The agreement will run for five additional years, building on a decade-long association that began in 2007.
Scotiabank will remain as the league’s official bank in Canada, showcasing its commitment to hockey through events such as the Scotiabank NHL 100 Classic outdoor game in December.
In addition, the bank will continue to be prominently featured at other NHL events such as the NHL Heritage Classic, the Stanley Cup Playoffs and final, as well as the NHL Awards. Scotiabank will remain as a sponsor of the league’s year-long Centennial celebration for the rest of 2017.
Scotiabank will also benefit from a significant advertising presence across all NHL-controlled media properties, including NHL.com and NHL Social.
As part of the partnership, Scotiabank will continue to sponsor more than 8,000 community hockey teams across Canada. It also sponsors all seven Canadian NHL clubs, and is the presenting sponsor of Rogers Hometown Hockey, Scotiabank Wednesday Night Hockey on Sportsnet and Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada.
