Turkey’s national carrier Turkish Airlines has entered into a partnership with German Bundesliga football club Schalke 04.
The deal will run for two years, from the 2015-16 season through to the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
Under the agreement, Turkish Airlines will serve as the official airline partner of the team.
As a second-tier partner of Schalke, Turkish Airlines will benefit from a branding presence on LED screens inside the club’s Veltins Arena home stadium, as well as access to match-day hospitality packages at the ground. Turkish Airlines will also be incorporated into official club media activities.
In addition, Turkish Airlines will fly the team to away games in Europe. This will include matches in the 2015-16 Uefa Europa League European club tournament, which Schalke qualified for after finishing sixth in the 2014-15 Bundesliga.
