Rio 2016 cleans up with Kärcher partnership

Cleaning products and accessories company Kärcher has agreed a deal to become an official supplier of next year’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The German company’s equipment will be used in all stadiums and arenas during the Games. In total, more than 1,000 of its machines will be used. The deal will ensure that those employed to operate the equipment will receive the necessary training.

As part of the agreement, Kärcher will be granted use of the official Olympic brand on its products and will be given advertising exposure at Games events. It will also receive tickets to various Olympics-related events.

“This is a special moment for Kärcher,” Abílio Hervê Cepera, the company’s president in Brazil, said. “In addition to the commercial brand awareness and positioning as a company of complete solutions for cleaning, we also show how it can change the environment in which we live.”

Next summer’s Games take place from August 5-21. Kärcher has previously backed the London 2012 and Sochi 2014 Olympic Games.
