Luxury watchmaker Richard Mille has agreed a deal to sponsor the upcoming edition of the Race of Champions motor-racing event.
The 2018 Race of Champions will take place on February 2-3 at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As part of the agreement, the winner of the individual Race of Champions will receive a Richard Mille watch.
Next month’s event will feature Indianapolis 500 winner and ex-Formula One driver Juan Pablo Montoya, who won the 2017 Race of Champions in the US city of Miami. Indy 500 winners Helio Castroneves and Ryan Hunter-Reay are also set to compete, along with reigning IndyCar champion Josef Newgarden, World Rallycross champion Petter Solberg and 13-time F1 grand prix winner David Coulthard.
Richard Mille also sponsored the 2009 event at Beijing’s ‘Bird’s Nest’ Olympic Stadium.
The 2018 Race of Champions will mark the first time that the event has been held in the Middle East.
