Sporting goods and equipment manufacturer Rebel has entered into a partnership with the Football Federation Australia national governing body.
Rebel will be the supporting partner of the W-League women’s club competition and will also take on naming rights to the FFA’s Play Football campaign and Female Football week as part of the three-year deal.
The deal strengthens Rebel’s backing of women’s sport in Australia, with the company having signed a three-year deal earlier this year to sponsor the AFL Women’s Aussie rules football competition.
FFA chief executive David Gallop said: “This new partnership further reinforces Rebel’s position as the ‘home of football’ in Australia and we will be working closely with them to engage with football fans with compelling offers and activations, in particular Rebel’s popular ‘Rebel women’ content series will celebrate Westfield W-League players, working to further elevate the profile of female athletes and providing a platform to tell their stories.”
