Chinese mobile and internet technology company Qbao.com has extended its principal sponsor agreement with Spanish Liga football team Real Sociedad.
Qbao.com signed an initial deal with Real Sociedad for the current 2014-15 season and it has now exercised an option to remain as its main shirt sponsor beyond this campaign, although terms were not disclosed.
Other areas touched upon by the sponsorship are wide-ranging, with Qbao.com collaborating with Real Sociedad on the development of young football talent in Spain and China and assisting in the future development of the club’s home stadium.
Speaking at a press conference in Nanjing to mark the signing of the deal, Qbao.com president Zhang Xiaolei said: “I am very grateful to Real Sociedad for their commitment. It is a good deal for the union of Spanish and Chinese football. We will extend this friendship, I'm sure the result will be positive. We will give everything to the development of Chinese football.”
