RB Leipzig brews extension with long-term partner ahead of Bundesliga debut

Newly-promoted German Bundesliga football team RB Leipzig has signed a two-year extension to its partnership with the Krostitzer brewery.

The two parties’ new agreement will cover the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Krostitzer has served as the beer partner of the club, which was founded by energy drinks giant Red Bull, since 2010.

RB Leipzig finished second in the 2.Bundesliga in 2015-16 to secure a first-ever promotion to the top flight. The club was only founded in 2009 and completed its rapid rise to the Bundesliga earlier this month with a fourth promotion in seven seasons.
