Raiffeisen Bank International has agreed a deal to become an official sponsor of the European Handball Federation’s Euro 2018 men’s national team tournament, which will take place in Croatia.
As part of the agreement, which was brokered by the Infront Sports & Media agency, RBI will receive significant brand exposure during the event as a top-tier sponsor.
RBI will have floor stickers on the courts at each game and run advertising on courtside LED boards during the event, which runs from January 12-28.
RBI’s social media manager will also join the EHF and Infront editorial teams on-site to enhance the company’s coverage of the tournament.
RBI’s head of group marketing, Leodegar Pruschak, said: “As a leading bank in Central and Eastern Europe we are pleased to sponsor one of the biggest sport events in the region. Handball is extremely popular in Croatia, along with our core markets of Austria (where we are headquartered), Belarus, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Serbia – all of whom will participate in the men’s EHF Euro 2018. We look forward to supporting an exciting tournament attracting both our existing and prospective customers.”
RBI joins Engelbert Strauss, Intersport, Gorenje and Grundfos as official sponsors of the event. There will be a maximum of eight official sponsors for Euro 2018.
RBI also sponsored the Euro 2012 tournament, which was held in Serbia.
