Football Federation Australia, the sport’s governing body in the country, has extended and enhanced its partnership with the nation’s flag carrier airline Qantas.
Already the official airline of Australia’s men’s and women’s national teams, Qantas will now sponsor the A-League and W-League domestic championships as part of the new agreement. The length of the renewal was not disclosed.
The FFA last week extended its association with another of its leading partners, financial services group National Australia Bank.
FFA chief executive David Gallop said: “This is the second re-signing of one of our key partners in the space of a week, signaling not only the sustained growth in the game and specifically FFA’s two flagship domestic competitions, but also a firm belief by our partners in the direction football in Australia is heading.”
