Sportswear giant Puma has teamed up with the ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex to become the official equipment sponsor of youth football initiative Disney Soccer.
Under the multi-year agreement, Puma will equip all tournaments at the ESPN Wide World of Sport Complex – a multi-sport venue based at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida – and create a co-branded ball.
The manufacturer will promote Disney Soccer at major football events and tournaments through presence including its Puma retail area, offering football apparel, footwear and accessories.
Puma will also host special events at the complex, including football equipment launches and retailer events with appearances from special guests and athletes.
The first of these was staged this week when the Women's Elite Showcase, a program currently in its third year that aims to aid the development of America’s top high-school female players, came to Orlando.
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which hosts more than 350 events a year, is the leading multi-sport venue for amateur and professional sports in the United States, accommodating 70 different sports and athletes from more than 70 countries.
