French Ligue 1 football club Paris Saint-Germain will replace sponsor branding with a message of solidarity on its playing jerseys during its next two games, as a mark of respect for the people who lost their lives during the attacks in the French capital on November 13.
The ‘Je suis Paris’ (I am Paris) message will feature on PSG’s shirts during tomorrow (Wednesday) night’s Uefa Champions League match at Swedish side Malmö and Saturday’s Ligue 1 home game against Troyes.
The message will be prominent across the front of the jerseys, in the space usually occupied by Dubai-based airline Emirates, the club’s main partner.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said he would like to “especially thank the club’s partners Emirates as well as Ooredoo and QNB, who have released their space on the players’ jerseys”.
