International rugby union club competition the Pro14 has agreed a sponsorship deal with health food products manufacturer Freshly Chopped for its upcoming Final Series.
Freshly Chopped will serve as the official health food partner of this year’s Final Series, which concludes on May 26 at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland.
As part of the agreement, fans will be given the chance to win tickets for the final via social media. Fans will also be served with Freshly Chopped meals throughout the Final Series.
Each match will also see Freshly Chopped set up a ‘Health Hub’ that will provide competitions, food sampling and giveaways. A guest salad will also be introduced in honour of the final in the week preceding the match.
This season marks the league’s first under its Pro14 guise following the addition of former South African Super Rugby teams the Cheetahs and Southern Kings.
Dermot Rigley, commercial and marketing director for Pro14 Rugby, said: “Freshly Chopped has made a big impact since entering the market and its game plan looks a lot like ours when it comes to growing its presence. Over the past year we have seen our fan-engagement metrics rise sharply across TV viewership, attendances and social media thanks to the excitement generated by our expansion into South Africa and the entertaining rugby in the Guinness Pro14 where try-scoring is reaching new heights.”
Earlier this month, Japanese automotive manufacturer Honda agreed a deal to become the official car of the Final Series.
